Climate Foundation New Zealand's goal is to accelerate transformative, systemic change that has a rapid and material impact on Aotearoa New Zealand’s carbon emissions.
The Foundation will focus on innovative, ambitious, evidence-based outcomes. It is independent, non-partisan, philanthropically-funded, and not-for-profit.
The Foundation is currently in its establishment phase and will be publicly launching in early 2026.
The Foundation’s Board is chaired by former Minister for Climate Change James Shaw.
